Keep a note of the date – Saturday, 8th June 2019

Corscombe is a beautiful unspoilt West Dorset village. 9 Miles from Yeovil; 7 miles from Crewkerne and just 4 miles from Beaminster.

The village dates back more than 800 years.

Corscombe Fest is held in the grounds of Corscombe Court.

Corscombe Court dates from the 13th century and is partially surrounded by a moat. It has a 15th-century tithe barn which was once used by the monks of Sherborne Abbey

The Fest kicks off at Mid-Day and runs until 8pm.

There is entertainment from the opening till the close; starting off with more traditional music and dancing with the South Perrott Steel Band; Jinder, Enigma Morris Dancers and Will & Naomi Folk Singers.

From 4.30 we have some wonderful pop and rock from Mustang Sally and Chill – the party band.  They will keep playing all the way to the close at 8pm

There are great stalls, a superb collection of Classic cars, a variety of food from the BBQ and a bar with real ale. Plus games and sideshows; a model aeroplane flying display; Children’s fun races; traditional stalls; dog show; pets corner.

There is plenty to keep your young ones happy as well in our kid’s area.

The dogs show is always a good place to start the day. Have a PIMMS or a real ale on the lawn or a tea and a cake or visit the local food stalls and buy some local produce.

Corscombe is a beautiful unspoilt West Dorset village, just 4 miles from Beaminster, 9 Miles from Yeovil, and 7 miles from Crewkerne.

Flying high at the Fest

Do you love planes and flying?
Do you fancy a chance to fly your own plane?

If the answer is yes then get along to the Corscombe Fest.

Back after its success at the Fest in 2016 will be a flight simulator and a model aeroplane flying display

Weather permitting from 1pm to 4.30pm a model aeroplane flying display will take place in an area adjacent to the Fete, presented by Chesil Model Flying Club www.chesilmfc.com.

There will also be a flight simulator to enable people to simulate flying a model plane: for an extra fee promising pilots should be allowed and fly an actual model plane (under supervision!)

Corscombe-Halstock--Community-Responders

Raising money for local causes

A lot goes into organising the event but it’s for some very important local causes.  We want to raise the most ever this year but we cannot only do that with your support.

If someone needs urgent medical help and phones for an ambulance it’s the First Responders that will normally arrive first. Helping save lives and look after people until the ambulance can arrive.

Other local organisations that receive funds are the local playgroup is the only one for miles and the village hall.

Click here for more information on where money from past events has gone to but whatever happens come along and have a great day out while helping some great local causes.
