The Antics are a three piece acoustic cover band based in the Bridport/Beaminster area in Dorset, Playing a variety of covers spanning from the 60’s to today’s Chart Hits. Formed in 2012, The Antics have been playing live at a number of venues in West Dorset and the surrounding areas and also appeared at Corscombe Fest in 2015.
Singing and playing Rhythm Acoustic guitar for The Antics is Dan Tolman. Dan has been playing guitar and singing since 2010, but is also an accomplished Saxophonist and Bass guitar player. He can also be seen playing Saxophone for the Beaminster based function band DT8, and Bass guitar for the Bournemouth based Indie/alternative rock band The Fool’s Paradise.
Playing Lead Acoustic Guitar for the Antics is George Howard. Originally born in Surrey, George began playing guitar in 2004, before moving to Dorset in 2006. Since then he has gone on to teach guitar in the local area, as well as play in a number of local bands.
Playing Drums is Ryan Halsey, raised and based in the south-west of the UK. Ryan has been playing drums since 2004. After playing for 6 years he went to study at Tech Music Schools in London. In 2011 after graduating from Tech Music Schools he moved back to Dorset and began teaching drums. Currently he can also be seen drumming for The Gravity Drive, whose music has been played on BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 6 and BBC Introducing, and also the Vinyl Monkeys.
